Job Description
A leader in infrastructure, building & business services, designing, building, & maintaining new environments for business & leisure, & safer, more reliable transport networks.

Overview:
Market leader in commercial building. Working with clients in the residential, retail, office, health & defence

Role information:
*Cover projects in the East of Scotland.

Duties to include:
*Provision of Health & Safety advice & assistance to ensure projects are compliant to the company's systems.

Purpose of Role:
*To advise & support the business unit across the disciplines of safety, quality & environment management & practices.
*Assist in development & implementation of integrated management systems.
*Undertake workplace inspections & audits to monitor compliance to standards & systems

Key Objectives of the Role:
*Production of monthly reports as required by IMS Manager
Investigation & reporting of key concerns
*Plan & conduct effective integrated audits of company systems
*Review industry standards & best practice
*Regular meetings & liaison with project/office staff & customers. Develop relationships, especially in the field of safety, quality & environment.
*Introduction of systems to ensure continued awareness of new & pending legislation
*Undertake accident/incident reporting & investigation in accordance with legislation & industry procedures.

People Accountabilities:
*Required to supervise a small team
*Co-ordinates available resource to deal with the work in hand
*Required to assist less experienced staff
*Undertakes the performance reviews & provides training recommendations
*Responsible for performance management issues & recommending disciplinary actions.

Knowledge & Applied Skills:
*Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience & training
* Diploma level in Health & Safety with qualifications in Environmental & Quality Assurance management.
*Experience in Construction industry is essential.
