Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a privately owned construction group in the Midlands. Applicants will ideally be a Chartered Member of IOSH, and possess a full NEBOSH Diploma or its equivalent. Relevant experience of managing safety within a construction environment is essential. It would also be advantageous if candidates have experience of developing and implementing OHAS 180000 or equivalent along with experience of managing a team. This role requires the successful candidate to be a disciplined and organised manager with sound leadership capabilities. You will have good technical knowledge of Health and Safety strategies as you will be required to develop clear strategies for delivering Health & Safety solutions and have a track record in setting strategic direction and development of a Heath and Safety team. You will be a strong communicator who can influence across all levels of an organisation and be able to demonstrate perseverance, determination and strong influencing skills, in order to promote continuous improvement and to challenge the teams to excel. This is a business critical role that requires proactive value based leadership and passion.
