Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Geologist to join a very active independent as Geological Team Leader.

Our client, a medium international independent Oil and Gas Operator, requires a Geological Team Leader to work within their existing UKCS Exploration Team.

The company has a very aggressive and committed outlook to the UKCS, currently drilling 12 to 20 wells per year, with over 100 targets already sanctioned to be drilled over the next five years. The role is the team lead position within the Geological team, but is a technically focused position, with a remit for mentoring and managing more junior staff. There is the potential for the right candidate to be promoted into a managerial "Chief" position. Main accountabilities are the identification of new ideas / prospects to bring added value to the exploration portfolio while being involved with adding value to existing development assets.

The ideal candidate will have;
Experience of UKCS exploration (or exploration / development mix), with a track record of generating prospects, new fields and getting wells and targets drilled.
Bringing new ideas to the table as far as increasing portfolio value.
Experience of licensing and farm-ins.
Being a proven oil finder would be a massive bonus
