Job Description
Our Client specialises in design and management services for infrastructure projects across the world. This international consultancy requires a Gates Structural Design Engineer for their Warrington office.
You will actually be part of their Water and Power structures group, which undertakes structural design and analysis on a wide range of projects in worldwide markets. Within the Water and Power group they have a team specialising in locks and dock gates, as well as smaller water control structures.
Unlike many engineering sectors in this current economic climate, our Client's team has a workload that will see them well into 2013. This is the main reason they require an experienced Structural Engineer who is well versed in steel design and has an interest in the design of gates.
You'll undertake Structural Design and assessment of gate structures of all sizes for a variety of projects, large and small. You'll have the benefit of working in the team that needs to be multi-disciplined thus, ensuring your work will always be varied.
You'll also get the chance to deal with Clients and contribute to tenders
To be considered for the role you'll need to be able to demonstrate working knowledge in the design, detailing and assessment of steel structures and also in the design of steel plate structures.
You'll also have a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and be familiar with spreadsheets and/or proformas.
