Job Description
Our client is one of the UK's leading contractors who are renowned for the delivery of key projects on time and in budget. They are managing many projects for the UK's Rail Infrastructure which includes the Victoria Line Upgrade, Kings Cross redevelopment, Cross Rail and the DLR.
As the Commercial Manager you will be based on the project site with the commercial team in Central London.
o You will efficiently direct and manage the Project's commercial resources, both during the pre-construction and construction phases o Support the Project Manager in developing a cohesive, performance driven, flexible, supportive, rewarding, challenging and celebratory team o Working with the central procurement team, assist Project Delivery Teams to drive down costs o Manage the preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes in order to maximise returns o Work with the Legal department on proposed conditions of contract, and assist in drafting clarifications or amendments o Take up a key role in negotiations with customers o Identify business risks in projects throughout - from inception to financial completion - and monitor arrangements to manage and minimise these
