Job Description
The main purpose the role is responsibility for the coordination and monitoring of premises safety and appointed project works. Responsible for safe execution, agreed quality & timely completion of projects. To ensure Client & Companies requirements are adhered to at all times. Key Accountabilities of this role include; Responsibility for overseeing visiting contractors and ensuring adherence to safe systems of work at all Clients locations across SE. Support FM Projects/major project/M&E teams by coordinating high-medium risk activity & advising limitations. Develop and maintain consistent, professional & effective communication at all levels. Assist Contractors, Project & FMWS Managers to understand Client & company requirements relating to Contractor Control. Provide suitable H&S info to contractors. Review & approve Risk Assessments & Method Statements prior to wk. Carry out & document inspections of wk equipment. Carry out monthly audits to provide assurance & compliance to Clients standards. Co-ordinate & deliver MP/OP training to relevant staff. Act as the on site knowledge champion for all HSSE matters. Appraise contractor H&S performance with PM's. Liaise with FM infrastructure teams to facilitate isolations, reconnections & the formal handover of completed works. The ideal candidate will have previous managing/supervisory experience in Clerk of Works/Project Management/Engineering Services roles. Hold a City & Guilds/equivalent in Engineering/Building Services/ Construction/Related discipline. NEBOSH or equivalent certification would be desirable. Certificated assessor for BS's activities including confined space, hot works, working at height, scaffolding, excavations & crane operations. The jobholder must also have experience of working in a similar role within a large diverse organization & have a proven track record of success in delivering & monitoring EHS project activities.
