Our client, a large Civil Engineering Contractor is currently looking for a Site Engineer (Or Senior Engineer) to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role you will work on a Design & Build projects within the Water sector, part of the AMP7 Framework in the Severn Trent Region.

You will be responsible for the accurate and safe delivery of civil engineering works, also interfacing with MEICA teams when required, to ensure all works are deliver collaboratively and to best practices. This including works on water treatment plants, therefore previous experience working within the Water sector is highly preferred.

Daily duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Setting out, site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Performing technical analysis and calculations to support construction projects.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines.
  • Monitoring and managing construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and schedules.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to site staff and contractors.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and challenges.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to project activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSQE regulations on site.

Candidates will ideally:

  • Have worked in a similar role as an Engineer delivering works within Water / on AMP Frameworks.
  • Hold a relevant qualification such as a Degree or similar.
  • Strong engineering skills inclusive of setting out, technical analysis, site surveys, drawing review, design input.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and legislation including HSQE.
  • Have experience of delivering various heavy civil engineering works such as concrete structures, foundations, deep drainage, retaining walls etc.
  • Have experience interfacing with MEICA teams.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator experience.
